The Story Behind Murphy’s Lawyer
One of the first questions I always get is, "So... are you actually a lawyer?" I’m not. Murphy’s Lawyer was born one night while I was lying awake, thinking about the old saying "Murphy’s Law" — the idea that whatever can go wrong, will. Growing up with the last name Murphy, I heard it plenty. That night, a different phrase came to mind: "What Goes Wrong Will Be Made Right." It felt like the perfect comeback — like something that would be said by “Murphy’s Lawyer.”

When it came time to build the brand, I tied it back to my family roots, reworking the Murphy crest: I replaced the middle sheaf of wheat with the scales of justice, added a barrister’s wig to the helmet, and flanked the crest with two guitars to make it clear this is about music, not law. (Doesn’t stop people from asking, but hey, I tried.) Murphy’s Lawyer has been with me ever since — a name that carries a little family history, a little humor, and a lot of heart.

Next time life throws you a curveball and you're tempted to chalk it up to Murphy’s Law, just remember what Murphy’s Lawyer says:

"What Goes Wrong Will Be Made Right."
